Thanks to our new iTero scanner, we can send your detailed information to the Invisalign laboratory in the United States practically instantly, saving a huge amount of time compared to the old way of doing things.

How does the iTero scanner work?

With the iTero 3D image sensor we can scan your teeth in no time at all, and then produce a real-time 3D visualisation of the digital scan – ready for you to view on-screen in just minutes.

Our dentists can use the iTero scanner’s Invisalign Outcome Simulator to help you visualise how your teeth may look at the end of your Invisalign treatment. Plus we can show you your current dentition next to your planned final position – so you can get excited about how your new smile will look! 

We can also use the information to track your progress compared to your treatment plan (and even check that you’ve worn your aligners for the right amount of time!) as your teeth move into alignment.

Monitoring your oral health with iTero

With the very detailed information from the iTero scanner, our dentists can monitor any changes that occur in your mouth over time, in great detail.

For example, it can help us diagnose a problem with your gums receding over time; or monitor advancing tooth surface loss if you’re drinking too much soft drink.
